On Thursday (21st July) the government announced the opening of its public consultation into the design of the UK Single Trade Window (STW), the IT systems and, the development of legislation required to deliver it.
The aim of the STW is to create a single gateway for all customs and trade data relating to the movement of goods, to be inputted and provided to government. This will negate the need for traders to input various pieces of data (which sometimes overlap) into different government systems.
