Yesterday (3rd August) the government announced the launch of The Recognition Arrangements Grants Programme which will provide grants of up to £75,000 to help regulators seek mutual recognition of professional qualifications.
The grant is aimed at UK regulators to help them acquire the staff and
consultants they need to develop recognition arrangements with international counterparts which will ensure British professionals have their qualifications recognised overseas.
Mutual recognition of qualifications can help lawyers, accountants, engineers and others to access new opportunities abroad without the need to requalify with additional qualifications.
The UK is already the second largest exporter of services in the world and the government hopes that this new funding will provide an additional boost to our trade in services.
